About Gabe's My Heart

Gabe’s My Heart was established to assist family members being treated for childhood cancer. When a child is diagnosed with cancer the whole family suffers, and everyone requires personalized healing. Gabe’s My Heart offers therapeutic play tools and education to assist every member of the family.

Personnel

GMH is a Nashville based non-profit organization with an outstanding board of directors and an excellent reputation within the medical community. Our Board of Directors consists of a small team of dedicated business professionals, cancer survivors and healthcare professionals. Collectively, they bring expertise in the following areas: Pediatric Oncology, Nursing, Child Life, Social Work, Psychology, Distribution & Manufacturing and Business Practices. Our programs reach families on both the national and local level.

History

Gabe's My Heart was incorporated in August of 2004 and has since been listed as a Tennessee Not For Profit Corporation. As of January 31, 2005, the organization received exemption status under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Gabe's My Heart was established to deliver Gabe's Chemo Duck to children living with cancer and uphold the following core values:

• A commitment to supporting whole families living with childhood cancer.
• A commitment to Chemo Duck program and training remaining 'free of charge' to families living with childhood cancer.
• GMH products will be developed based on innovative and medically sound methods reviewed and approved by Medical and Child Life Experts.
• A commitment to diversity-providing Chemo Duck products to children regardless of sex, race, religion or color.

Gabe's My Hearts initial vision was to bring our premier play therapy tool "Chemo Duck" into the life of as many children undergoing cancer treatment as possible. Within 18 months of its launch Chemo Duck was available free of charge to families in 16 Hospitals in the U.S. and 4 in the U.K.
