Toy Drive
On the night that Gabe
was diagnosed he was
given an unexpected
holiday gift from a
thoughtful donor. This
gift inspired GMH to
initiate a way to let other
families know that
someone was thinking
of them during the
holidays and to thank
Vanderbilt Hospital for
the gift of Gabe’s
continued health.
The goals of the toy drive are to annually re-stock the worn and broken toys in the clinics at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, to provide small bravery gifts for children needing diagnostic imaging and to bring a little holiday spirit into the lives of children hospitalized during this time. In addition, the toy drive has supplied gifts for GMH annual Holiday Party. Each Year Gabe’s My Heart Toy Drive has grown in size, from a humble 200 toys in its first year, to over 1000 in 2006!
We are always seeking new “Toy Drop-off Depots.” Drop off depots are asked to hang posters, place a box for toy donations and collect toys. If you know of a church/ school or businesses that might be interested in becoming a Drop-off Depot, or you would like to host a toy drive party please contact: info@gabesmyheart.com or 615.830.0126
We also searching for corporations or businesses who might be able to assist in providing gifts for the participants in our Holiday wishes party. We would like to provide each age group of children with the same gift to equalize the quality of gift the children receive. Specific Items needed for younger children: We are looking for plastic toys with few detachable pieces that can be easily cleaned.

We are especially looking for Gift Certificates to Wal-Mart, Target or Toys R Us.
